To regain full control of your device after doing this is very simple. In menu, press START and one of the few options available is UNLOCK UI MODE. Enter that option and you will be on a new screen with text highlighted that says "ENTER THE CODE TO UNLOCK THE CURRENT UI MODE". This is where you punch in the code:

A, A, A, B, A.

It will now prompt you that "THE UI MODE IS NOW UNLOCKED". Press A to accept the changes and you will be returned to the games menu in FULL MODE.

Some Helpful Videos:

MAKE YOUR DEVICE KID-PROOF (UI SETTINGS):

Your device ships with the menu system in FULL MODE. This gives you access to full control of settings like control configurations, game metadata (like the preview images and videos in the menu), deleting games, altering or deleting control schemes. If you hand your device to a small child, who may randomly press buttons without being aware of the consequences, your device could be irreversibly "damaged". To prevent this, put your device in KIOSK MODE or KID MODE to remove vulnerablilities like these from the system menus. KIOSK MODE is recommended, as KID MODE hides the SHUTDOWN option in the SELECT MENU.

To change UI (User Interface) settings, while in menu, Press Start and select UI SETTINGS. Go down to UI MODE and change it from Full to KIOSK MODE, then press B to back out of the menu. You will be prompted with this:

THE EXTRA CARD?: This is the 64Gb stock firmware that shipped with device from China. Only recommended as a backup in case of critical failure of your 256Gb card. Those cheap cards are prone to failure. Your 256Gb card was put together right, but if you ever want to start a new card with a new OS like ArkOS, make sure to save the entire contents of the SD card's "Games" partition before formatting the card. Whether it's on a flash drive, external drive or on hard drive space, you definitely will want to keep all those games, preview files, XML files and BIOS files, since they can be very hard to find and take a lot of time to acquire.

FIXING NINTENDO 64 GAMES (Change Graphics Plugin):

1) Open RetroArch menu by pressing L3+R3.

2) Scroll Down to "Options" and select it with the actual "A" button ("B" is the "A" button in N64 emulation, but not in this menu.)

3) Under "Options" there are many choices that can impact performance and graphics. The 2 main options you will use are "CPU CORE" and "GFX PLUGIN". scroll down to "GFX Plugin" and press "A".  Here you will have a selection of "rice", "auto", "glide64", "gln64" and "angrylion". "Rice" is the default (it works great for Super Mario 64 and most games), with "glide64" being the most likely working alternate for any games that don't work with it.

4) After you have made a selection, you will return to the "Options" menu. Press "B" to get back to the "Quick Menu" and scroll back to the top and select "Resume" to see if your new changes have the desired effect.

5) If your changes worked, you can save these new settings to be game-specific. Open RetroArch with L3+R3, Go to "Options" > "Manage Core Options" > "Save Game Options". Press "B" to get back to "Quick Menu" and select "Resume" (at top).

FIXING NINTENDO 64 GAMES (Change Emulator) (example: Yoshi's Story):

1) While in the N64 directory game list and with "Yoshi's Story" highlighted, press "X" to open the game-specific menu, scroll down and open "ADVANCED GAME OPTIONS" with "A".

2) Open "EMULATOR" with "A" and select "MUPEN64PLUSSA: M64P RICE".

3) Press "B" to get back to the game list.

4) Launch game and confirm it works.

Retro Achievements (online feature):

This uses your wifi dongle and adapter to get your device online and start tracking your achievements in retro games to compete with other players around the world for high scores and more. It's also a nice visual way to track what games you are playing and what achievements you've unlocked in them. (It works a lot like unlocking XBOX achievements.) This video from Retro Game Corps explains it. Since the video has instructions for both "351ELEC" and "ArkOS", your RG351P operating system is "351ELEC". By the way, to get online, just know you'll need to plug in your Wifi dongle into your device, press START > NETWORK SETTINGS and access your wifi with your wifi's username and password the first time.

One final update for 351ELEC exists (Not required, but have a look. AmberELEC is the new software going forward):

How to get preview images/videos for new games you've added to your device:

This is for if you don't know how to download images (box art vs screenshot), convert them to PNG. Find and download the correct video snaps for the game in a small size (youtube downloader at minimum sample rate) and finally edit the gamelist.xml file in the game's directory to make your device show the simages/videos you've added to the correct directories. This solves that stuff.

Support for your device is all over the place, but especially on Reddit. If you have any issue, your quickest solution is probably a Google search using terms like "RG351P" "351elec" and system name and 1 or 2 words about the issue can bring results about someone else having the same problem and a forum of people helping them solve it. Try it!
